OKC Bombing 30th Anniversary is Apr 19th 2025

The emotions of the entire city caused Jimmy to decide to help in some way.
His
original song, We'll Never Stop Cryingwas the first song written for the bombing tragedy. The song was played throughout the aftermath footage on radio and news.

It became a part of the entirety of Oklahoma City's mourning and comforting process. He was 17 years old when the song was recorded at KOMA.

The Story

30 years ago today was the most tragic terrorist event in our state's history.
Every year, Oklahomans pay respect to the victims and recall their memories of that day with pain and affection for the example our city made in coming together to support each other through it all.

Here is Jimmy's story. He was in high school and his parents were planned to be at the Murrah building that morning, but they missed the appointment. Jimmy didn't know they did not make it downtown that morning. He was frantic and had no way to find out at the time if they were okay. It wasn't until later in the day that their safety was confirmed.

Jimmy's parents talked to a connection at KOMA radio about the song Jimmy wrote. KOMA sponsored the recording of the song, which was done after hours around 3am when the radio station went off air with the help of Kent Jones. KOMA was raising funds for the victims and Jimmy was able to perform the song solo at the Rock & Roll Reunion benefit relief fund. His parents were making cassette tapes locally of the song. The family were happy to hear that $3,000 was raised because of the song and it was announced on the radio that all proceeds would go to the victims.
